Warranty Policy

1. Overview

Electrodata Soft Technology Pvt. Ltd. ("Electrodatasoft") provides this Warranty Policy to outline the warranties, guarantees, and remedies available for our software solutions and services. This policy applies to all products and services delivered by Electrodatasoft.

2. Software Warranty

For our software solutions, we warrant that:

  • The software will perform substantially in accordance with the documented specifications
  • The software will be free from material defects in workmanship
  • The software will be delivered free from viruses and malicious code
  • We have the right to license the software to you

Warranty Period: 90 days from the date of delivery or as specified in your service agreement.

3. Custom Development Warranty

For custom software development projects:

  • Code will meet agreed-upon specifications and requirements
  • Software will be free from critical bugs affecting core functionality
  • Documentation will be accurate and complete
  • Warranty period: 6 months from final acceptance or as specified in contract

4. Service Warranty

For consulting and professional services:

  • Services will be performed with professional skill and care
  • Services will meet industry standards and best practices
  • Deliverables will meet specifications outlined in the service agreement
  • Services will be provided by qualified and experienced professionals

5. Maintenance and Support

During the warranty period, we provide:

  • Bug Fixes: Correction of software defects at no additional cost
  • Technical Support: Assistance with issues covered by warranty
  • Updates: Minor updates and patches to address issues
  • Documentation Updates: Corrections to documentation as needed

6. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Issues caused by misuse, abuse, or improper use of the software
  • Problems resulting from unauthorized modifications or alterations
  • Defects caused by third-party software or hardware
  • Issues arising from failure to meet minimum system requirements
  • Problems caused by force majeure events beyond our control
  • Cosmetic or minor issues that do not affect functionality
  • Beta or trial versions of software
  • Software used beyond its intended purpose or environment

7. Warranty Claims Process

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] within the warranty period
  2. Provide detailed description of the issue or defect
  3. Include relevant documentation, screenshots, or error logs
  4. Provide information about your system environment
  5. Cooperate with our technical team for diagnosis

We will respond to warranty claims within 2 business days and work to resolve issues based on their severity.

8. Warranty Remedies

If a valid warranty claim is made, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair: Fix the defect or issue
  • Replace: Provide a corrected version of the software
  • Workaround: Provide a temporary solution while working on a fix
  • Refund: If unable to remedy, provide a prorated refund (as per refund policy)

These remedies are your sole and exclusive remedies for any breach of warranty.

9. Performance Warranty

We warrant that our software will perform within specified performance parameters when:

  • Deployed in the recommended environment
  • Used within specified load and capacity limits
  • Properly configured and maintained
  • Running on compatible hardware and software

10. Security Warranty

We warrant that our software:

  • Is developed following secure coding practices
  • Does not contain intentionally malicious code
  • Includes security features as documented
  • Will be updated to address critical security vulnerabilities

However, no software can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Client is responsible for implementing appropriate security measures in their environment.

11. Compatibility Warranty

We warrant that our software will be compatible with:

  • Platforms and environments specified in documentation
  • Stated versions of operating systems and databases
  • Documented integrations and interfaces

We do not warrant compatibility with future versions of third-party software unless specifically stated.

12. Extended Warranty

Extended warranty coverage is available through:

  • Maintenance Contracts: Annual maintenance agreements with extended coverage
  • Support Plans: Premium support packages with enhanced warranty terms
  • Custom Agreements: Enterprise clients can negotiate extended warranty terms

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability under this warranty is limited to the fees paid for the specific product or service
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • We are not liable for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • We are not liable for third-party claims or losses

14. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

Except as expressly stated in this Warranty Policy:

  • Software and services are provided "AS IS"
  • We disclaim all other warranties, express or implied
  • No implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • No warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade

15. Warranty Transfer

This warranty is non-transferable unless:

  • Transfer is approved in writing by Electrodatasoft
  • Original purchase documentation is provided
  • Transfer is part of a business acquisition approved by us
